Your net is only as good as the install.

Measured Once, Installed to Spec so it fits the first time.
Multihull net installation and precision field measuring on Florida's Gulf Coast, and wherever the job takes me. Measured by the mechanical engineer who has designed these nets, so it fits correctly and tight the first time.
I field-measure your boat, send your net maker a dimensioned drawing they can design from, then come back and install the finished net. If you already have a net on the way, I can do the install only. I'm based on Florida's Gulf Coast and I travel for the right job, if your boat is somewhere else, tell me where and I'll quote the trip.
What the install includes
Field measurement of your existing frame, track, and lacing points
A dimensioned measurement sheet sent to your net maker
Full install of main trampolines, bow nets, or both
Lacing to your existing track using the line supplied with the net
Even tensioning across the panel, with corners and hardpoints checked under load
Walk-through before I leave, including how to re-tighten the lacing yourself after break-in
Written break-in instructions and photos of your own net to work from
Not included: the net itself, which you buy from your fabricator, and any track or hardware replacement, which I'll flag if I find it.
How pricing works
Flat quote, no hourly billing. Send photos and your boat model and I'll price the whole job up front.
Install: one flat price covering a single trip and a full day on site
Field measuring: priced separately, and credited toward the install if I do both
Terms: 50% to schedule the date, 50% on completion
If it runs long: if the install takes a second day, that's on me, not you
Minimum: small openings carry a minimum cost, since a trip out costs the same either way
The net is purchased separately from your fabricator. I don't mark it up and I don't take a cut.
What affects the price
Net area and how many panels, main trampolines, bow nets, or a full set
Boat size and deck access, including whether the work happens in the water or on the hard
Condition of the existing track and lacing points
Whether it's install only, or measuring and install together
Travel, for boats outside the Tampa Bay area, quoted per trip, including flights and lodging when it's a fly-out
Schedule, if you need it done before a delivery or a season start
Send photos, get a quote
Photos of your existing nets and lacing track, plus your boat make and model, are enough for me to quote the job. Most quotes go out within 2 business days.

Measure Once. There's No Second Cut.
On-site field measuring for custom nets on Florida's Gulf Coast. Your opening measured and documented as a dimensioned drawing your net maker can build from, by the mechanical engineer who has designed these nets.
Every custom net is cut from numbers somebody wrote down. If those numbers are off by an inch, or the diagonals weren't taken, or the frame isn't as square as it looked, you find out when the finished net is on site and it doesn't fit. At that point there's no adjusting it, the net gets remade, and you pay for it twice.
Most customers measure their own net, and most of the time it takes more than one try. Something gets measured to the wrong point, a diagonal is missing, the frame isn't as square as it looked. Every round trip is another drive to the boat, another week, and the net still isn't in production.
I measure it once, to the points the fabricator needs, and send them a a dimensioned drawing they can build from.
What the measuring service includes
Site visit and full field measurement of the opening, frame, or track
Diagonals and squareness checks, so out-of-square frames get caught before fabrication
Documentation of attachment points, lacing track, hardpoints, and any obstructions
Photos of every corner and hardpoint, keyed to the drawing
A dimensioned drawing sent directly to your net maker, in the format they need
Notes on anything that affects the build, worn track, damaged hardware, framing that needs attention
Not included: the net itself, and installation.
How pricing works
Flat fee, quoted up front, based on the job rather than the hour.
Flat fee per site visit, covering measurement, documentation
Field measuring: $300 flat in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.
Outside the area: quoted per trip at a daily rate covering travel and work days, plus flights, lodging, and rental at cost.
Multiple openings at the same site are priced together, not per opening
Terms: payable on delivery of the drawing
Minimum: a single small opening carries a minimum, since a trip out costs the same either way
What affects the price
Number of openings and total area
Geometry, a rectangle is quick, and curves, returns, and irregular perimeters aren't
Access, including height, working over water, and whether the boat is in the water or on the hard
Boat or building complexity, and how much of the structure has to be documented
Whether the existing net is still in place or already removed
Turnaround, if you need the drawing back the same day
Travel, for anything outside the Tampa Bay area
Send photos, get a number.
Photos of the opening and a rough size are enough to quote it. Tell me who's building the net and I'll send them the drawing in whatever format they want. Most quotes go out within 2 business days.
